My name is Mrs. Joanne Johnson and this is my ninth year at Pike Lake-Bel Air Elementary and my 26th year of teaching (23rd year in kindergarten). I also taught first grade for three years. I moved from Wheaton, Illinois in June 2008. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Mike, and three grown children: Heather, Matt and Eric. Heather is married to Ryan and they have a baby (my first grandchild!), Sullivan.  Unforturnately, they live in Eastern Michigan. We also have 2 dogs, Ellie and Sophie (beagles).  I enjoy reading, visiting family and friends in Chicago, spending time outdoors, and I'm a big Chicago sports fan--Go Bears!  I received my undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Illinois-Urbana.
